My boys

01.30.11

I love my boys.  I love the way their faces light up when I come into their room in the morning.  I love the way Oliver calls for “MAMAMAMA” whenever I leave his sight, and I adore that he loves to snuggle.  I love how Hudson pats my back to try to make me happy when I’m having a rough day.  I love their exuberance.  I love watching them wrestle (although I’m a little afraid of what this will become in a few more years…).  I love how excited Hudson gets when I bring him a sippy cup of milk…every. single. morning. “YOU brought me MILK, Mommy??!!  THANKS Mommy!!!!”

Today was our annual valentine’s day photo shoot, and Hudson insisted that his Daddy participate this year so that he could wear a matching tie.  I have to say, I’m really happy that we were able to capture some images of all three of my boys together.  I won’t spoil the shots we’re using on our cards yet, but here’s one that made me smile when I saw it.

I love them.

Sleepy head

I usually like to photograph newborns in the first 10 days of life, before they really “wake up” to the world. This is when it’s easiest to get those cute, wrinkled, curled up newborn pics.

Luckily, this 11-day old was still extremely cuddly, sleepy and an otherwise perfect little model!

Sneak Peek: Just the four of us

There is nothing quite like getting to know a tiny new family member. Although H wasn’t exactly sure what to make of this wrinkly, loud, adorable little guy, I have a feeling that these brothers will be best buds in just a few more months!

It’s finally done!

Welcome to the new site! It’s taken me a lot longer than expected to get this up and running, due in part to the fact that I’ve been incredibly busy taking, editing, and ordering images for so many wonderful families. I also realized (a little too late) that I probably should have taken at least one class on html (or programming or computer science or web design or information technology) before taking on a project like this! I’m very proud to have completed it on my own, though, and I hope you will take a few minutes to look around and check out what Sarah Jordan Photography is all about.

New Beginnings

It seems fitting that my first few posts on the new and improved blog are about beginnings. I have a soft spot for newborn sessions, and this little guy’s adorable chin, soft thick hair, sweet disposition and doting parents made this session full of life and love.

Not only was this little girl a dream to work with, but I was almost giddy when I saw the clothes in her closet! And those stuffed friends?! Is there such a thing as too much cuteness?
