Danvers Family Photographer – Perfect imperfections

A few things I loved about this session:

*Catching up on how the family has grown and changed in the past year! This year marks our FIFTH annual session together, and the kids are just getting sweeter and happier with each session.
*The fact that mom didn’t reschedule when her daughter broke her wrist! Of course, we could have found another date to do the session, but I loved that she wanted to capture this time in their lives without feeling the need to make everything look “perfect.” The cast will be gone soon, but these images forever captured a major event in this young girl’s life.
*That the images from this session will be displayed in a gorgeous album to add to the collection. I adore albums – maybe even more than wall art. They are the perfect way to present images in a way that tells a story. Images that compliment each other can be grouped together, and the result is more emotional and captivating than a single image on its own.
*Last but not least, I love how this family is comfortable playing, laughing, and snuggling together. Their easygoing personalities make every session unique, spontaneous, and so much fun for all of us!

Reading MA Family Photographer – Making memories

10.22.14

During this session, we ran, we laughed, we climbed, we played, we jumped, we talked….we just enjoyed spending a couple of hours together on a beautiful fall afternoon. Sessions like this make me so incredibly grateful to have the job I do! When the kids look back on these images years from now, I hope they’ll remember our time together with a smile – because creating memories is truly what it’s all about!
It’s crazy to think that we’ve been looking forward to this session for almost a year now. Acelleron Maternal Health and Wellness

10.20.14

5 years ago, I stumbled upon a prenatal yoga class at Maternal Health and Fitness that helped me relax, slow down, and enjoy my second pregnancy. Of course, the yoga itself was fantastic – but I also looked forward to class because it was a time to chat with other mothers, get advice when I needed it, and make new friends.

That’s why I was thrilled to hear that Maternal Health and Fitness joined forces with Acelleron Medical Products to create Acelleron Maternal Health and Wellness – a “premier pregnancy and parenting wellness center focused on providing the resources and supportive community parents need to become empowered in the process of growing their family.” The new space is warm, inviting, and incredibly beautiful, thanks to Beth Bourque Design Studio. Offerings now include everything from prenatal yoga and Hypnobirthing to mommy meet-ups, make-your-own baby food workshops, baby music classes, infant massage, and even breastfeeding workshops! I only wish that this facility was available when I was pregnant with my own babies!
On Saturday, I documented the grand opening festivities, including Knucklebones playspace, a visit from Elsa, face-painting, an interactive music class, and a make-your-own baby food workshop. It was an inspiring day!

I was honored and excited to create the wall art used to decorate the new space. Although I love all of the images we chose, I’m particularly excited about the breastfeeding images in the lobby. As a breastfeeding mother, I know that sometimes it can be awkward and intimidating to nurse in public. I hope that images such as these help to normalize breastfeeding, and help mothers feel more confident in their right to feed their babies whenever and wherever they are hungry!

The sense of acceptance and care that greets you when you enter Acelleron Maternal Health and Wellness is due in large part to the fantastic women who have devoted a tremendous amount of time and energy to creating such a supportive environment for families. I don’t think I’ve ever seen any of them without a smile!

North Andover photo session – fall colors

Those leaves! They were just spectacular! Every year, I look forward to when this row of trees changes color, and we lucked out with the timing for this family session 🙂

The kiddos started out a bit unsure of exactly how much fun they were “allowed” to have during their session. Once they realized that they were not only allowed, but ENCOURAGED to ride a tractor, play with toys and run around like crazy, the smiles never stopped!

Methuen maternity photographer – Sisters

These big sisters may just have been the sweetest, happiest, most enthusiastic kiddos I’ve ever photographed! They were up for anything I suggested, and we all enjoyed running, snuggling, jumping, dancing and exploring together. One of my favorite things about maternity sessions is that they allow me to really get to know a family before the chaos of the newborn session. I only hope that baby brother is as easygoing as his siblings!

Newburyport lifestyle photographer – By the water

Three years?! Really?! I recall this family’s LAST SESSION so clearly that I was shocked to realize it was so long ago! Of course, when we met up this time around, I immediately saw that the kids were no longer the babies I remembered. They had grown into beautiful, sweet, happy children who no longer attempted to jump into the water at any given chance!

One thing that remained constant through the years is their love of the ocean. They enjoy boating together, soaking up sun at the beach, and splashing in the water during New England heat waves. For their last session, we played in the surf at Crane beach – this time, we headed north to Newburyport, where we enjoyed watching boats come and go at the yacht club. Such a perfect way to say goodbye to summer!

North Andover child photographer – Skipping rocks

I’ve been photographing this family since baby brother was just TWO WEEKS OLD, and it’s always fascinating to see how they’ve grown and changed from one year to the next! LAST YEAR, I thought it was a miracle that we got both boys to sit down AND smile for their Christmas card photo. Let’s just say that it was a challenge again this year….but we got it! This first pic is still my fave, though. The morning light…the fall leaves…the ripples in the water…the way the little guy is looking towards his big bro…. If those were my boys, I’d print that up big and hang it somewhere that I’d see it every day. I almost want to do that even though they aren’t my kids!
