Tewksbury Newborn Photographer – Never too late!

I often receive emails from concerned parents who are worried that they waited too long to do newborn photos. The truth is that sometimes it’s actually BETTER to schedule photos for around 6-8 weeks old instead of right away. Why? Parents are more relaxed and comfortable with their new roles, breastfeeding mothers have settled into a nursing routine, and the baby is more alert. Of course, there are tradeoffs – the baby is less likely to fall into a deep sleep, and has typically filled out a bit from the newborn stage. But the bottom line is that it’s never too late to photograph a baby!
*One note – it’s still important to schedule a newborn/baby session while you’re still pregnant in order to ensure a spot on my calendar!

This happy girl was wide awake for most of the session, but we were able to soothe her into a little nap towards the end. And she even flashed a few smiles! I can’t wait to see how much she’s grown in a few months for her milestone mini-session!

Waltham Newborn Photographer – Big love

When we started planning out this newborn session, Mom was a little concerned that their home wasn’t big or bright enough to use for a session. Well, I think these images are proof that even small spaces can be beautiful! Just look at all that love! My favorite part of the session was when their doggie got into the pics 🙂 He was so sweet and curious – already a fantastic big brother!

Travel Sessions!

03.28.15

I’m super excited to announce that Sarah Jordan Photography will be hitting the road again this summer! As of now, these are the cities I’ll be visiting. If you would like to see more places/dates added to the list, let me know and I’ll see if we can make it work.

Nyack, NY – May 22-25
Los Angeles, CA – June 26-28 and TBD dates in late August/early September
Cape Cod, MA – August 1-15

Details:
*Sarah Jordan Photography sessions are a perfect way to capture your family in a natural, comfortable, enjoyable setting. We can play at the beach, snuggle at home, take a walk downtown – whatever you’d like to freeze in time and remember forever. I’ll help you plan everything from clothing to location to activities we can enjoy together.
*Every session includes an heirloom 10×10 photo album and all of the digital files from your session. You’ll get a minimum of 50 images, including family, individual, sibling and couple shots.
*Most sessions will take place about 2 hours before sunset, and will last 1.5-2 hours

Investment:
Travel sessions are $1299. Half is due at the time of booking, and the other half is due two weeks before your session.

Andover Newborn Photography – Baby brother

03.28.15

I first met this family last fall, at their MATERNITY SESSION. The girls were playful, loving, happy – and very excited to meet their baby brother! It’s always so helpful to get to know older siblings before a newborn session. Bringing a new baby home can be a major adjustment for a family, and I love being a familiar, friendly face for the big kids.

On this snowy morning, we snuggled, played, and eventually got baby brother to sleep. Even the dog got in on the love!

Of course, we had to snap a few shots for their Christmas card!

Billerica Family Photographer – Big love

I first photographed this loving, happy, brave family a few years ago when they were a family of 7. Since then, they’ve added three more adorable children to their clan, and it looks like life has only gotten better!
Each time I spend time with these kids, I’m struck by their compassion and empathy. Several of them have special needs, and it’s incredible how instinctively they help each other out. I also love watching how independent and strong each of them is – no doubt a result of their supportive and empowering parents.

Methuen Baby Photographer – Falling leaves

03.24.15

This winter has been filled with snow days, family movies, snuggles, cooking, games, and books. After an insanely busy (and wonderful) fall, I allowed myself to relish the quiet season. I didn’t blog, I didn’t give my website the overhaul it needs, I didn’t do a bit of advertising or marketing…and it was simply wonderful. But, after a few months of actually sitting on the couch in the evening instead of at my computer, I’m ready to dive back in and get to work! I have lots of Spring sessions coming up when the snow eventually melts, so I thought I should finally finish up blogging the last of my fall sessions!

This little lady came to play on a gorgeous, colorful, fall day, and was fascinated by all of the bright leaves that fell around her! It was a bit chilly, but all it took were a few snuggles with mom to bring back that infectious smile.
