Boston architectural photography

As some of you may know, our family moved into a beautiful new home this winter. As much as we loved the sweet little cape that we lived in for almost 13 years, it no longer comfortably fit our family of 5. So we embarked on this thrilling, crazy, stressful, exhausting task of moving across town. After looking for the better part of a year, we stumbled upon the perfect place to begin this new chapter – and we were even able to make some design decisions and choose all of our finishes! It was exciting, but also a bit stressful – there were so many choices! Luckily, our builder referred us to the talented Claude Pichette from CP Designs to help guide us through the process. Claude help us define our vision for our dream kitchen, and assisted us in everything from designing the layout to selecting cabinets, faucets, and hardware.

Now that the project is complete and we are all moved in, I am still in disbelief that this is really my house! The kitchen is the heart of almost every home, and ours is no exception. This space is where we eat, talk, do homework, laugh, cook, and enjoy being together. Claude helped it become the perfect space for our family. Bella Ballerina – Business Spotlight

When I first transitioned from the world of education (I was a 6th grade science teacher) to photography, I decided to primarily focus on photographing babies and families. After all, I had babies of my own, and I was certainly passionate about capturing every little nuance of their childhood with my camera.

Then, a few years ago, I started working for Northshore Magazine as a freelance photographer. I still adore working with families and babies, but this new challenge was fun and exciting too! Every shoot was different, and I had to really hone my camera skills in order to capture some very unique settings in often difficult lighting conditions. My assignments have included a wide variety of businesses, including farms, boutiques, fitness centers, spas, local artisans, distilleries, restaurants, and even beautiful beaches. I’ve met many outstanding business owners, and had the opportunity to learn a little about each business, the people that make it successful, and the resources available to our communities North of Boston. In fact, I’ve enjoyed photographing these businesses so much that I’ve started offering Business Spotlight packages for other local businesses who would like to update their brochures, websites, and other marketing materials. Each package is customized to the needs of the business, and can include anything from headshots to architectural images, food photography, and even action shots.

Last month, I had the opportunity to work with owner Beth Barlas, of Bella Ballerina Merrimack Valley, to capture images of her adorable dance students enjoying class! There were lots of giggles, tutus galore, and we ended up with lots of great photos that will help other people see just what Bella Ballerina is all about.
