Boston architectural photography

As some of you may know, our family moved into a beautiful new home this winter. As much as we loved the sweet little cape that we lived in for almost 13 years, it no longer comfortably fit our family of 5. So we embarked on this thrilling, crazy, stressful, exhausting task of moving across town. After looking for the better part of a year, we stumbled upon the perfect place to begin this new chapter – and we were even able to make some design decisions and choose all of our finishes! It was exciting, but also a bit stressful – there were so many choices! Luckily, our builder referred us to the talented Claude Pichette from CP Designs to help guide us through the process. Claude help us define our vision for our dream kitchen, and assisted us in everything from designing the layout to selecting cabinets, faucets, and hardware.

Now that the project is complete and we are all moved in, I am still in disbelief that this is really my house! The kitchen is the heart of almost every home, and ours is no exception. This space is where we eat, talk, do homework, laugh, cook, and enjoy being together. Claude helped it become the perfect space for our family. Sisters in pink – North Andover Child Photographer

This Spring session from last year was everything we are missing right now. Warmth, color, flowers, and lots of smiles! We ran through the orchards, picked dandelions, and made sure to stop and smell the daffodils.

Flower sessions – North Andover Mother’s Day Photographer

As I sat down to write this post, I realized that I am a terrible blogger. I was fairly regular about posting session photos for a few years, but then life got in the way. As a mother and a business owner, I’ve had to regularly reassess my priorities in life. My children are already growing up much too quickly for my liking, and spending time with them while they are still little is so important to me.

That said, I also love my career. I truly enjoy getting to know the families I photograph, and it brings me great joy to watch people flip through their session albums for the first time. I take pride in making sessions fun, memorable, and enjoyable for everyone involved, and pour over images for hours afterwards to make sure that they are edited to look their absolute best. The one thing that easily slips by the wayside is blogging. I’d love to say that I’m going to do better in the future, but I know that probably won’t happen. For now, I’m just going to try to catch up a bit by sharing images from Spring 2017 to help you get through the next snow storm with a bit of optimism. In just another month or two, the snow will melt, the flowers will bloom, and we can capture your own family in this beautiful Spring setting!

All photos in this post (and likely the next few, too), were taken amidst the gorgeous orchards at Smolak Farms in North Andover. The apple, peach and cherry trees all explode with flowers in early May, providing a dreamy backdrop for family photos. I love the blossoms at Smolak so much that I always try to get at least a few photos of myself with my own kiddos there each Spring! Last year we even got to meet the farm’s sweet rabbit while we were there 🙂
